About

Andes Crossing Advisor — Decision-support tool for crossing the Andes on the Brazil–Santiago (SCEL) route. From the QNH difference between Santiago (SCEL) and Mendoza (SAME) and the 500 mb wind at Juan Fernandez, the app applies the Harrison Abaco to indicate the likelihood of orographic turbulence — none, light or moderate/severe — with routing guidance (preferred entry via UMKAL or the southern alternative via ICO/EROLO). Works offline after the first visit and keeps the assessment history on the device. It does not replace the official weather briefing or the captain's judgement.
